My girlfriend lied to me about her identity?
I met a girl online and we got on great etc so we hooked up and i was told her name was not what she said it was i confronted her about this and she denied it soo… months go bye and i finally meet her friends (before that i only met one and she also called her the same name!) and sure enough she is not who she said she was she claims that when we talked online she didnt expect to fall for somone and thought she would lose me if she told me the truth as time went byt etc got harder for her to now im really confused and questioning what else she is lying about i am destroyed i fallen for her badly she is amazing damn even now i feel like o it must have been a weight off her shoulders when i proved her wrong but at the same time why lie about such a stupid thing everything else she says adds up everything now i wonder if her feelings are real for me ughh i dont know what to do i love her a lot i cant belive i been so stupid i put that aside and trusted her when people told me that :l sure i had a look but yea after i met her friend and she said she was called that also i didnt doubt it again this is sooo messed up. any advice guys?

Well beginning a relationship by lying is not very smart. You may want to re-consider if this is someone who you really want. At this point, although the ball should be in your court, it’s in hers. She lied, yet she still has the control in the relationship. I say, just wait it out and see if you comes back to you. If she doesn’t, she was never really interested, and was just looking to play with someones feelings.

She’s a little insecure. At a guess she’s been hurt in the past and as a consequence has put up barriers, defence mechanisms if you like, to stop her being hurt again. These have been in the forms of ‘little lies’ so as not to let you too close or know too much about her in case you were not as true to her as you appear to have been. The fact she’s told you now is a good thing. She’s opening up to you and letting you closer. Be careful not to abuse it, or those defence mechanisms will be back again.

Christians; how do you feel about "Closer to God" ?
People usually refer to this song as "that f***-you-like-an-animal song", and I find that an unfair label. Yes it’s got the line in it, but there’s so much more to the song than just that. It’s degrading. It would be like calling Christianity "that Jesus cult" and ignoring everything else about Christianity.

To understand the song completely you need to know the context. "The Downward Spiral" tells the sad tale of a man aptly named Mr. Self Destruct as he falls prey to depression, going into his own downward spiral that eventually leads to suicide. He tries to find meaning to his life and the world around him, but nothing works. Some of the routes he tries and ideas he questions are rampant abuse of Authority (cops), Religion, sex, finding God, Guns, Drugs, Self-inflicted Injuries, Masochism, (I think he tries homosexuality but I could be wrong), a female companion. Nothing works.

Finally he realizes the only way to fix his life is to put the gun up to his head and pull the trigger. A lifetime of screwing things up fixed. And everything is blue.

.. My point is "Closer" is a chapter in this man’s self-destruction, and not just some cheezy line horny frat-boys use at mixers. I would still like to know your thoughts on the song.

ONE
All I can remember is lights. They felt hot on my skin. The lights twinkled above my head, thousands of them. So many lights I could not count. Maybe I didn’t see the lights, though. Maybe I felt them. My eyes could’ve been closed and I could have simply felt the lights on my skin. It burned almost. In my head I was screaming, but in reality I was just there. Perfectly still.
I felt other things around me. Things hovering over me. I heard them talk. I understood what they said, but I couldn’t respond. I felt the shadows on me. They were just some human beings standing over me, a delirious girl. They must’ve been really sick people. I felt these sick human beings touch my skin. One stroked my cheek with the back of its hand. It felt nice, cooler than the lights above me.
Then I began to think more. Maybe they weren’t human. Maybe they were some sort of strange species. They could be monsters. They could be ghosts.
Maybe they were unknown.

TWO
I woke up and walked down stairs. I found my mom drinking coffee and watching the News Channel. I smiled and stretched my arms. I walked towards my mom and plopped on the couch next to her.
"You know I’m moving tomorrow, right?" I asked her. I looked at her brown hair and blue eyes.
Her pink lips curled into a smile. "Shut up about your moving so I can forget about it. I am already stressed out enough. Why are you leaving, Sweetie? What did I do to you?" Mom seemed mad. Her eyebrows furrowed and her smile turned upside down.
"Mom, I want to move to Oklahoma to be with Dad. I’ve lived with you since I was six," I yawned.
"Why would you want to move from Orlando to a hick state? Huh?" she said. She grabbed her coffee and started sipping it.
I have to admit, I was really offended when she said Oklahoma was a hick state. It wasn’t. It was far from it.
"I have to do this, I’m so sorry. I’ll live with the stupid red necks and you can live here with the beach and Tony," I said.
Tony was Rachel, my mom’s, boyfriend. He was tall and muscular with giant hands and a shaved head. He was six feet tall and weighed one hundred and seventy pounds, like he mentioned all the time.
I didn’t like Tony. He reminded me of body builders. At the same time, he made my mom happy and I couldn’t stop my mom’s beoved happiness, now could I?
"You need to straighten up your attitude!" Mom raised her voice.
"Why? I’m moving tomorrow and you’ll never see me unless I decide to visit, which I wont."
"I’ll come down there any time, any day, that I want to and you can’t do a thing about it! I’m your mother!"
"And John is my father!"
"So is Tony."
"No, Mom. Tony is my stupid, new step father who I didn’t eve know about until a week before your wedding. John, he is my father. And I need him."
I left the room. The truth was, John didn’t need me anymore than I needed a pack of gum. He just loved me, he liked to have me around. It seemed like no one around here did, though. I just got in fights with my mom and barely spoke to Tony. I just frowned or got quiet when I saw him.
It happened like this, I was very different than other teenagers at my high school. I was new, a Freshman, but I would be a sixteen year old Sophomore in three weeks at Moore High School. And I liked to think that way. All the teenagers kind of looked past me like I was s ghost in their life. I wasn’t a nerd, or a freak. I just didn’t have the best tan and the newest clothes. All I wanted was to start over.
So here I go. I’m starting over. It’s all so new but that doesn’t really matter, does it?

"Hurry up!" My mom shouted. She was mad at me, furious at me. She wouldn’t look at me when I walked out of the car and into the air port. She followed me inside, though. Out of nowhere, she hugged me good bye then started to cry. I thought she wouldn’t hug me, though.
"Why are you doing this to me? I can come visit, right?"
"Yeah, come visit."
"Be good," Tony chimed in.
I didn’t answer Tony just because of the mere fact that he didn’t know anything about me. He probaby didn’t know my birthday, my middle name, or even my favorite color.
