How to get the inside of a car looking like new?
Where do the dealerships go to get the cars all cleaned out inside and looking/smelling new again?

We bought a car and the upholstery has been colored on, the rug has been stained with food/drinks, I tried cleaning it myself but it still looks dirty.

How do I totally revamp the inside, either by myself or taking it somewhere?

Most detail shops and dealerships use a combination of chemicals, and steam or hot water to clean the interiors of vehicles. In some cases, the seats and or the carpets are actually sprayed with dye, to cover up stains that will not come out!

Take your car to a detail shop. Expect to pay about $100 and they will make it look new!!

Lookout, The (2007)

IMDB rating: 7.40

Plot: An admired high school hockey player (Joseph Gordon-Levitt) with a bright future foolishly takes a drive in the night with his girl friend and two other friends with his headlights off with devastating results. The former athlete is left with a brain injury that prevents him from remembering many things for extended periods of time. To compensate, he keeps notes in a small notebook to aid him in remembering what he is to do. He also lives with a blind friend (Jeff Daniels) who aids him. Obviously, with the mental incapacitation, he is unable to have meaningful work. Thus he works as a night cleaning man in a bank. It is there he comes under the scrutiny of a gang planning to rob the bank. The leader (Matthew Goode) befriends him and gets him involved with a young woman (Isla Fisher) who further reels him in. After they get close and after reeling him in with his own failures, the bank plan unfolds. Confused but wanting to escape his current existence, he initially goes along with the scheme. After realizing he is being used, he attempts to stop the robbery, which of course immediately goes awry. Bruce McGill and Alberta Watson also co-star as the young man’s parents, who still search for the person that was there before the tragic crash.

AVI Files are now AVI documents?
I was on my computer today, listening to internet radio and downloading a movie(video clip, AVI) from Megaupload. When it was done downloading, my computer slowed for three seconds. I noticed that all my AVI files are now AVI documents. I can still play them, but my computer sees them as AVI documents, not as a AVI video clip. I also tried to download a t.v. episode, and my computer says I’m dowloading an AVI document, not a video clip. How did this happen? Should I be on the lookout for a problem like a trojan? Thanks in advance for any help.

Lars and the Real Girl? Movie?
Has anyone seen the movie Lars and the Real Girl? I was bored so I started watching a little of it. It’s kind of weird…actually very weird but I have to stop it now and I really want to know how it ends. Is he like schizophrenic? Does he start dating the girl he works with?

I didn’t even know what this movie was about, ha ha, I just started watching it because of Ryan Gosling. (<3333 love the Notebook!)

Haha, so has anyone seen this movie?

He has signs of slight autism, but that is never really talked about in the movie.

His pretend girl gets sick and dies and then he starts to date the girl that he works with.

But UN fortunately Our country elected Neo Con Republicans into office more often then not . And Neo con Republicans have drained this countries economy to fund their wars for Oil and corporate profit .———————————————-
Charlie Wilson gave some very good advice about Afghanistan . It is really a shame and a travesty that Republicans ignored his advice .
Charlie-i Wilson started out helping the people Afghanistan fight Russia and armed the Afghan people against Russia . Charlie Wilson ended Up wanting Peace for the People in Afghanistan. And had some really great ideas about that prospect .
But then Reagan came along and every thing changed .

That was Li’l Bush for you – there wasn’t a mistake that he EVER missed making. He thought about it REALLY hard – "What’s the Very Stupidest move we could make?????" And then that’s just what we did – every time. Afghanistan was just one of is biggest stupidest moves. Anybody with even half a brain would have seen that coming.

What a nasty, stupid little drunk he was – and that bitter old Cheney and his fun torture he LOVES to talk about even yet!!! What a pair – stealing two elections – robbing us of 8 years and a trillion dollars – just to feed the very rich – and then leaving us with two stupid wars.

I hope federal prison is in their futures at some point.

No, if the US had let the Russians kick some rag head terrorist azz, we would not be in Afghanistan now.

History teaches we backed the wrong horse there.

God. I wish Americans could get there heads out of their asses. I don’t want to see America fall, but when they think crap like that means anything, it must be an omen.

That book only proved how amazingly heartless the Americans can be and yet it’s written as if the US was the heroes in the bs story.

Ps, not one 9/11 "bomber" was from Afghanistan.

EDIT: Captain Beasts answer if awful, but it’s true.
FizzyBubbler Lives Forever! | Oct 24, 2009

No, Charlie Wilson helped arm the men that shoot at us now. The Soviets would have rolled over that country if it wasn’t for us giving them arms. And hell it would probably be just some little unimportant country like Turkmenistan, far away from the worlds eyes.
Captain Beast | Oct 24, 2009

Uncle Joe Stalin is right. Al-Queda was Reagan’s creation. The Afghanistan situation is on our shoulders. As much as I hate to admit it, but it’s the awful truth.

(I see the War Mongers are out in force on this one.)
"IF" America would have Helped the People who Defeated Our Enemy(Kicked the USSR’s ARS! Bankrupted Them! Direct Effect on the Fall of the USSR. Wouldn’t have happened without). By Rebuilding just a little bit of that ancient country. A couple Hospitals, a few Schools and some Live Stock aka Give The Children left (the Adults today) some HOPE for a Brighter Future. We would NOT be there today. And Neither would the Taliban.
But Republicans DON’T Believe in Rewarding the Soldiers who fight Their Battles.

Dead Silence
Dead Silence (2007)

IMDB rating: 6.00

Plot: Every town has it’s own ghost story, and a local folktale around Ravens Fair is about a ventriloquist named Mary Shaw. After she went mad in the 1940s, she was accused of kidnapping a young boy who yelled out in one of her performances that she was a fraud. Because of this she was hunted down by townspeople who in the ultimate act of revenge, cut out her tongue and then killed her. They buried her along with her “children,” a handmade collection of vaudeville dolls, and assumed they had silenced her forever. However, Ravens Fair has been plagued by mysterious deaths around them after Mary Shaws collection has returned from their graves and have come to seek revenge on people that killed her and their families. Far from the pall of their cursed hometown, newlyweds Jamie and Lisa Ashen thought they had established a fresh start, until Jamie’s wife is grotesquely killed in their apartment. Jamie returns to Ravens Fair for the funeral, intent on unraveling the mystery of Lisa’s death. Once reunited with his ill father, Edward, and his father’s new young bride, Ella, Jamie must dig into the town’s bloody past to find out who killed his wife and why. All the while, he is doggedly pursued by a detective who doesn’t believe a word he says. As he uncovers the legend of Mary Shaw, he will unlock the story of her curse and the truth behind the threat from a rhyme in his childhood: if you see Mary Shaw and scream, she’ll take your tongue. And the last thing you will hear before you die…is your own voice speaking back to you.

Does anyone know something that really works with a beagle that pulls and bays on the leash?
I adopted a rescued beagle a little over a year ago. He was three when I adopted him. We took the first and second level of training classes and he passed with flying colors. He can sit, down, stay, wait, come, drop it, leave it. He’s very smart and he’s perfectly behaved almost always in the house. He was overweight when we adopted him, but we take two long walks every day and he’s in great shape now. We live in Miami, and we adopted him in November 08. We were taking the training classes and he got better and better at walking at my side on the leash. All last winter I thought he was pretty much the perfect dog. In May, our rainy season began, and he smelled the toads that come out in the rain. He went insane from the first rain. On the leash he was unbearable, pulling horribly and squealing and baying. People would look out of their houses and think we were abusing him. It took months of strict training to get him to walk calmly. I also alternate the gentle leader collar, the martingale halter, and the Sporn halter for dogs that pull. He’s immune to them all and pulls and howls no matter what. He acts insane, panting and pulling and squealing. After months of being strict with him he got better, but the summer was pretty much hell for me on the walks with him. Also, when in the house he would stand at attention at the door waiting to get out to the frogs for hours on end when it rained, not napping the whole day. It was like he was strung out on cocaine. And our summer lasts about six months. In the fall he calmed down, and I looked forward to a winter like last winter. Well, in recent months he has gotten worse and worse. First it was only when I took a different route that he would start the insane hunting, so I thought I was confined to one walking path. But now it’s even on our normal path, from the minute we get out the door. He’s getting worse and worse. My hands, arms, and lower back have been stiff and painful for months. I love this dog very much, and, like I said, he is perfect in the house. But many days I wish I didn’t have him. I think that since he’s gotten in better shape, his hunting instinct has come in full force. As far as I can see, other beagles do not have this strong of a hunting need. He keeps his nose to the ground on walks so intensely that his chin and snout bleed. His previous owners "surrendered" him to the pound. I love him and would never abandon him, but I feel like he’s ruining my days. I normally love walking and being outside, but I’m so miserable now when I walk. I also have terrible problems with him barking in the yard, no matter how hard I work on this issue. I’ve been on beagle message boards and talked to a couple of different trainers. One seemed to think it was just standard behavior for a beagle to hunt, that I should allow it. He has no idea what it’s like living with this. It’s painful.

Have you tried dog obedience classes?

Poll on the positions of people who identify with the Republican party?
http://www.dailykos.com/statepoll/2010/1 /31/US/437

Yes, the Dailykos does have a huge bias, but the company which conducted the poll (Research 2000) is not biased. I imagine the Dailykos posted the poll because some opinions on the majority of people who identify with Republicans may be seen as a little radical.

How do you feel about the poll results? Are they accurate? Do you agree with the views of other Republicans?

39% who identify with the Republican party think Obama should be impeached
63% who identify with the Republican party think Obama is a socialist
36% who identify with the Republican party think Obama wasn’t born in the US
24% who identify with the Republican party think Obama wants the terrorists to win
21% who identify with the Republican party think ACORN stole the election
53% who identify with the Republican party think Palin is more qualified than Obama to be president
31% who identify with the Republican party think Obama is a racist who hates white people
23% who identify with the Republican party think their state should secede from the United States
55% who identify with the Republican party think people who are gay should not be allowed in the military
77% who identify with the Republican party think people who are gay should not be allowed to marry
68% who identify with the Republican party think people who are gay should not be allowed to receive the same federal benefits as everyone else (from marriage)
73% who identify with the Republican party think people who are gay should not be allowed to teach in public schools
51% who identify with the Republican party think sex education should not be taught in public schools
77% who identify with the Republican party think Genesis (Creation) should be taught in public schools
31% who identify with the Republican party think contraceptive use (condoms, the pill, etc) should be outlawed
34% who identify with the Republican party think the birth control pill is the same as abortion
76% who identify with the Republican party think abortion is murder
91% who identify with the Republican party support the death penalty

I didn’t list all the polling data, feel free to look over the actual poll.
Deleted the previous one and reposted because the entire question got bugged.

trippsmith485 | Feb 03, 2010

I pretty much fall in line with all of them, especially "91% who identify with the Republican party support the death penalty".

I actually used to favor gay marriage and rights but since 2008 when gays saw fit ot overwhelmingly support ‘party’ over what was best for America I have since become bitter. My personal opinion is that if they can vote for their ‘feelings’ than so can I.
-currently I’m pizzed and will vote against ANY gay marriage proposal.
SUCK IT.
Ou812 the hate returns pt6 | Feb 03, 2010

Do the results have democrat results to compare to? Like the Gay marriage one-it is interesting that states like California and Maine vote down gay marriage even though they are liberal meccas. So are you saying that the issue of Gay marriage is actually opposed by a HUGE margin in the US? Because according to your poll, Gay marriage-which loses in highly liberal states would lose big in balanced states and be trounced in conservative states because of the higher ration of conservatives in those states. Overall your statistics show Americans to be solidly against it.
Commander McBragg | Feb 03, 2010

1) no because joe biden would be worse
2) yes, what do you call wanting to nationalize heathcare and the govt takeover of gm
3) i dont really think about this much but he sure is putting a lot of money into hiding his actual birth certificate
4) was this poll taken when obama took a really long time to decide weather or not to send more troops to afganistan when generals were saying they needed more
5) i dont think they stole the election but i wouldnt doubt that they influenced it
6) she was governor, he was a senator for just as long as she was a governor
7) he went to reverend wrights church of hate for how many years, you can say he didnt listen for all that time
8) im against this, fix the united states, dont leave it
9) no they shouldnt
10) i dont think they should
11) that depends do you mean tax wise, for the tax breaks i think the tax should just be a flat tax no oh your married you have to pay so much less
12) that depends, do they start talking about their sexuality a lot, if so then no
13) parents should start teaching their kids, and it definatly shouldnt be taught as early as some people want(like 1-6 grade)
14) no, church is for this, and i kinda think this number is flawed
15) no to this
16) no to this
17) yes i think it is murder
18) yes i support it and i think they should go back to firing squad because its cheaper, or use the electric chair run off exercise bikes in the prison because it would be cheaper
Kush Slayer | Feb 03, 2010

how do you know research 2000 isn’t biased? because the daily kos says so? when you poll, it depends how you phrase your question and you can steer the answer based on the way you phrase the question. i don’t put a lot of stock in polls and i really don’t rely on a poll done by a company i’m not familiar with or have never heard of. are you familiar with the wilson and zogby polls done immediately after people voted? both polls asked the same questions and obama voters scored far lower than did mccain voters. what conclusions do you draw from that? the questions were multiple choice some only having 2 choices. for example, which party controls congress where you had a 50-50 chance merely by guessing.
rwb13 | Feb 03, 2010

Well, I’ll just hit line by line…

* Impeached? Gettin’ close, but not yet.
* Socialist? Yep.
* Not born in US? Evidence is pretty compelling and warrants scrutiny.
* Wants terrorists to win? He won’t use the word, so he appears willing to forgive them.
* ACORN stole election? Don’t know about "stole", but they definitely did not follow the rules.
* Palin over Obama? Ehn…wouldn’t want either as President, but I do think she would be better.
* Obama racist? Won’t say "yes", but it’s getting a lot closer to being "yes" with each day.
* Secede? No, fight to return this nation to greatness!
* Gays in military? No opinion on this one really. Doesn’t matter.
* Gay marriage? Against the terminology, but all for providing comparable legal rights.
* Gay teachers? Not openly and not in an activist manner. Other than that, sure.
* Sex education? Torn on this one. More information is out there (in schools and out) and it is not benefiting the youth of this nation.
* Public school is not for the teaching of Genesis since that is religious. It belongs in the church.
* Ban contraceptives? That’s just insane!
* Abortion is murder? No, but is not right and should be discouraged.
* Death penalty? Oh yeah, light ‘em up, baby! Expedite the process!

Some other items I found interesting…

* 68% against simplifying the union-forming process.
* 59% against amnesty for illegal immigrants already in the US. I agree with this one big time.
* 76% state marriage is an equal partnership! A fairly even split on percentages between men and women too! Good question there.
* 86% in favor of women working outside the home. Realistic, and a surprising stat if you follow what liberals say about conservatives.

It was also rather interesting that 89% of the polling group was white, 56% male, the age group of 18-29 was the least represented at 9% and the region of the nation most represented was the 42% from the South.

Not that I agree with all of the pole questions but since when is common sense and logic considered radical.

Also from my 52 years of life, having lived in 6 different States, two different countries, visited 43 of 50 states (yes not 57 states) having spoken with and or worked with people from all ideologies and races of life I do not think I am speaking out of ignorance or lack of experience, again i do not agree 100% with everything, but a majority of the questions with a high percent are nothing but good sense, logic and knowledge are not radical and wanting "diversity" for diversities sake. .
