Does anybody have any ideas for my sculpture project?
I am making a sculpture that is made by taking a flat piece of card board, cutting out shapes, and laying the shape down and cutting out a shape either smaller or larger, but a similar shape and gluing it flat on top of that. then you repeat the process over and over again until you have something that looks like layered cake from the front where all you can see is the zig-zag of the corrugation. maybe this can help ( http://work.nicksoni.com/media/690/chair _1_1.jpg ) sorry for the run-on sentence

Unfaithfully Yours (1984) IMDB rating: 5.80 Plot: Claude Eastman, is a composer and conductor. He is married to Daniella, who is half his age. While away on a trip he told his Italian driver, Giuseppe, to tell his friend Norman to keep an eye on her, or take care of her. But his english is not too good, so Norman thought he was saying that Claude wanted him to hire a private eye to keep tabs on her. Which he did. Claude tells him that it’s ok but the man Norman hired gives him his report and it says something happened while he was away. Claude, of course, tells him to throw it away but after Norman leaves, Claude tries to retrieve it and tries to read it but Daniella’s there, when Giuseppe destoys it, he goes to the man Norman hired to get a copy. He tells Claude that a man went into his apartment while he was away and left at an unusual hour, and that he also has a video. Claude tells him to destroy it but shortly after leaving returns so that he can watch it. Now the video’s a little fuzzy but clearly he can see that the man wears a particular type of clothing. Claude goes around checking every man he knows to see if they wear that clothing. He discovers that Max, his protege and a ladies man wears it. After confronting Daniella, she is harboring a secret but not what Claude thinks it is, so when she tells Claude that it’s no big thing, Claude freaks out, and is planning to kill her and frame Max but an unforeseen circumstance disrupts the perfect plan he dreamed up.

Okay, so I need a girl’s name that starts with N, for a story I’m writing.
It can’t be really weird and unusual, but a bit unique is fine.
Originally I was going to call her "Narcissus" and have her be nicknamed "the li’l Sorceress" because she’s a little baby and babbles weirdo stuff that comes true. (But later on she grows up, so it has to fit a teenager, too.)
Except Narcissus didn’t work out, so now I need a new name!

what can 50 million bucks give you that 5 million cant?
I dont get it. I watch this show "Greed" on TV and I see how people lose their minds over excess amounts of money. It just makes no sense to me. Am I missing something?

What can someone do with 50 or 100 million that they cant do with 5? Theres only so much stuff to buy and most of it is way under these outrageous bucks!

I hear stories of people that are ALREADY millionaires (like politicians) But still screwwing people for more more more!

If I have just a few million, all my bills are paid, theres nothing I cant buy (accept maybe a huge yacht and private jet which I dont need) and Im set.

Why would I need more? What would drive a person to need more than this?

You make 5 million, you put it in the bank, and you live off the interest. Done!

It isn’t that you’re missing anything. I believe that you don’t understand why they think that it’s necessary to get more money. I know this from experience, you get a certain high from possessing even a small-but hefty-sum of money. It’s like adrenaline or cocaine. You like it and want more.

Is my father fooling me?

So , my dad , since my childhood , have taken little interest in developing relationship / bonds with me . He is a truck driver . But , even when he got 2 days off , he never took any time with me .Next person , my mom , she was / is an over caring mother . She would not let me play in grounds while I was a kid .
From my personal experience , I have no doubt that an absence of father figure during a boy’s early years and an over caring mother is a perfect recipe for suffering .
Coming back to my dad , he was a serious alcoholic . My mom tried twice to finish herself because she was damn sick of his drinking . He used to have this drinking attacks after 6 months or so in which he would drink like hell . So , since my kindergarten , I have been seeing unrest in my home due to man’s alcoholism . Luckily , we had a well to do relatives who backed us up then .
My dad is also a hard worker . People appreciate him for things which I don’t know ! Three years ago , he brought a new house . I am their only offspring . They sometimes say that they do all hard work for my betterment .
So , currently , he is repaying loans and burden and all .
I must say that he says he "sometimes" feel proud he has a son . I am in my university degree .
Till now I have not worked anywhere . I am 19 year old ,male and I think I am immature for my age because of deadly combination of mum & dad I described above .
He says he will be providing for my education if I work hard and that he is ready to invest in my future .
From his looks , he appears to be wishing my success in life .
I am gay and way behind my peers . They think I am a retard for my age . Even today my mom won’t allow me on college picnics because " the kid ( me ) may get cold !"
But , considering the fact that this man ( dad ) has given me a pain in my @ss while I was a kid , I sometimes wonder whether he kicked me in my nuts and is now giving me a 100 $ bill ?

He is spending and working hard like hell ! but who will repair the damage he has done on my psyche during childhood ?

OK, don’t blame your parents for you not working or your lack of maturity. You have your own mind and as you grow up, have your own life and friends, you evolve.

My parents kept me on a short leash and my father was abusive to me and my mother. Yet, I went away for college, I came back and worked several jobs. My health took a dive but my mother was there when I needed help..and I’m glad she was because I would’ve been homeless. My father has nothing to do with me especially since he left my mother when I went to college. I’ve returned to college taking online classes to finish up my degree while trying to improve my health, among other things. Yes, I look to my father and how he screwed me up with abuse but I’ve been getting help for that and realize that I have to take control and become the person I want to be. My mother is an alcoholic…she never bounced back from the divorce or abuse but I am there for her when she needs me and we have a great relationship…one that we never had.

It sounds like your father has really cleaned up his act and is trying to do the right things. You’re the only child (same with me) and your mother dotes on you. You can tell her politely that you’re becoming a man now even though you will always be her little boy. You’re 19…you’re mother can’t prevent you from going on college outings. Then again, you live under their roof and aren’t working so you need to abide by their rules. I suggest you get a job, move in with friends or into the dorm while going to school. This way, you will be on your own, getting an education, meeting people and proving to your parents and to yourself that you are an adult and can make decisions for yourself. You can become that person you want to be.

As for who will repair the damage from your childhood…..YOU will….if you really want to. See a therapist. Talk about all of this and work through it. You can work through your feelings, you can learn to communicate with people and your parents more effectively and you can learn to become more healthy. Right now, you make yourself sound very lazy and that you just want to blame your parents for everything. Take responsibility for yourself! Get some help! Work through your problems and make a life for yourself.

Well I think the fact that Mum made the statement regarding her popping off (die) is an indicator she has been thinking a lot about dying. You with me so far? Then she made the statement that you won’t let yourself go. This indicates to me that she is feeling unneeded and neglected emotionally, she wants to know that you need her in your life. She wanted to know about what you were doing in the bathroom because she wanted to see if her words had affected you in any way. I think she may have wondered if you were upset and crying. It would have made her feel better if you had been crying. At least she would know that by pointing out that she could pop off that you would miss her. You state that you have been working long hours, so she is feeling lonely and unneeded. You state that she wanted you help with dinner, this is her way of trying to bond with you, something you probably did together before the job or the long hours became a hindrance to your relationship. Good news is this is an easy fix. Make time for Mum! Sit with her and tell her you love her and that you do miss the times that you shared together and that you want to work towards making more time for her. I gather there is no one else in the home but you two and I also gather Mum doesn’t get out much, maybe even disabled. She doesn’t have many friends and she doesn’t go to church. I would try to get Mum active and find a way to met new friends or maybe you could bridge the gap between her and some old friends. If she use to belong to a church maybe you could make contact with some of those folks. The main thing is to fill your Mum’s life with something she can look forward to, even if it’s once a week. Depends on what you do with your fists, and who your victim is. Smashing a newborn baby with a close fist in the face would be a lethal weapon to a jury, but not if the victim can take a punch or two. However, hitting that victim while victim is unconscious, and the hitter keeps doing it 100 times, then the fist would likely be lethal to a reasonable person.
