Cat in the Hat party ideas for 13 year old?
I am having a birthday party in a few weeks for my 13th birthday.
It is Cat in the Hat themed.
I have little hats for the guests, and a bunch of little stuff for gift bags.
I am doing the cake to look like the hat, but I don’t know what to DO during the party.

Any ideas?

Thanks
Alex- I know it’s a little old for a 13 year old, but it’s still awesome. It was one of my favorite books as a kid, and I haven’t had a party in 2 years. It’s fine.
So far, 4wheels and liberty are my favorite answers. They sound awesome.
I am going to let the question go into voting, since I can’t decide.

Thanks so much!

i dont know about you but thirteen years old is a little to old for cat in the hat

Tape paper around the walls and hand out washable markers( in case some accidently get on the wall) and divide groups, letting them select a folded paper from a jar and " paint" whatever picture is on the paper. The group closest to their picture wins. Get paper and have the group dress one person in their group with a cat in the hat, "hat" vote on the winner. They can use markers and will need tape.Read tge book for moire "Cat" silliness
liberty | Feb 04, 2010

You could take paper and write a word on it. Than tape the paper to the persons back. They do not know what that word is. The other people must try to get him to say that word. The person who does goes next.
You could do a rhyming game. People must talk in rhyme for a certain time. If they mess up they are out. The person at the end wins.
You could take a candy and hide it places. Than everyone could have to go look for it.
You could read a certain part of the book and than you could have people try to figure out what line is next.

Happy Birthday

Are there any good books you reccomend?
I loved these books:
The Hunger Games
The Uglies Series
Harry Potter series
Angels and Demons and the Da Vinci Code but not the newest one
Lovely Bones
All the Jodi Picoult (she’s my favorite author) except one of them
The Memory Keeper’s Daughter
1984
Brave New World
His Dark Materials Series

I do not like the Twilight series so do not recommend them. I’ve already read Narnia and Max Ride. I’m not fond of Narnia, but I enjoyed Max Ride.
I’ve actually read Fahrenheit 451 and I loved it. I should have mentioned it earlier.

You could try reading Wuthering High by Cara Lockwood.

Wuthering High: When Miranda, a slightly spoiled but spirited fifteen-year-old from Chicago, smashes up her father’s car and goes to town with her stepmother’s credit cards, she’s shipped off to Bard Academy, a boarding school where she’s supposed to learn to behave. Gothic and boring and strict, it’s everything you’d expect of a reform school. But all is not what it seems at Bard.

For starters, Miranda’s having horrific nightmares and the nearby woods are eerily impossible to navigate. The students’ lives also start to mirror the classics they’re reading tragic novels like Dracula, Wuthering Heights, and Jane Eyre. So Miranda begins to suspect that Bard is haunted by famous writers who took their own lives and she senses that not all of them are happy. Complicating things even more is the fact that Ryan Kent a cute, smart, funny basketball player who went to Miranda’s old high school landed himself in Bard, too. And the attention he’s showing Miranda is making some of the other girls white as ghosts. Something ghoulish is definitely brewing at Bard, and Miranda seems to be at the center of ominous events, but whether it’s typical high school b.s. or otherworldly danger remains to be seen.

The second book is The Scarlet Letterman and the third is Moby Clique.

I have those books for sale and other romance books too.

Fahrenheit 451. This book falls in line with 1984. It posesses an alternate reality plot based on a futuristic US turned totalitarian. The story follows one of many "firemen" who’s job it is to burn emotion evicting literature with cold calculatory precision and efficiency. This fireman soon discovers the joys of the very things he destroys for a living. That’s all I’ll devulge, go grab a copy and read it for yourself. I’m positive you’ll enjoy it.

I need help to write a vampire romance?
I do have one I’m writing up but I don’t want you to read all of it because some of you will get a little bored…I post my stories on booksie. Just ask and I could put it on additional details. Anyways, I need tips and I don’t really like Anne Rice but I have the whole twilight saga…but my stories aren’t like modern. It’s like a royal story with a princess and king and queen. Nothing like Twilight which is in the modern times. Thank you and you rock if you answer :)

Err, we need to read the story itself if we’re going to give critics and help.

And, just because your story isn’t modern, and Twilight is, doesn’t make your story nothing like Twilight. But post the link.

In the film Universal Soldier 1992, what did the GR stand for in the UNISOL code names?
Each UNISOL was given a number designation, GR44 GR13. Does anyone know what the GR was supposed to stand for?

I’ve search about through Google, but I couldn’t find anything definitive. A "GI" is a "General Infantryman", so maybe GR stands for "General Reanimate", something like that. Or maybe it just doesn’t mean anything.

According to Wikipedia: Deveraux’s code number GR44 is a reference to director Roland Emmerich’s first film Moon 44.

I'm attempting to write a story… does my intro sound okay?
I am trying to write a story about how a girl becomes a knight (with a few twists… nothing to generic (:) Here is my story beginning. Read it and tell me if you would be interested in reading it and what I could do to improve it. Constructive criticism needed! :)

Here it is…

The blade of his sword caught the light just before it delivered the final fatal blow. He dived and plunged the dagger into the heart of his opponent, turned the hilt sidewise and then stood up, finished. The flour spilled from the slash in its bag, making the ground below look like a snow bank.

The onlookers cheered as my brother bowed, grinning. The test dummy looked pathetic and weak next to the strong boy who had just defeated it.

My brother was the best sword fighter out of all of the potential knights. He was the best looking, the friendliest, and the most talented. Father always said that he could kill a dragon just by smiling at it. He probably could, knowing my brother. He would sit down with it and tell it a story, and the dragon would happily grant him passage to the princess

If you auctually had to meet the people who asked/awnsered questions on here,..?
Which catagorey would you not go to?
I’d say hunting, since you can say "that’s a crappy rifle" and then they ALL yell at you and report you, after which under "sources" they usually list somrthing like:
37 years reloading experience
49 years handgun/rifle shooter
Activie lifelong NRA member
5 time national handgun champion shootist
CWP holder in 32 states
What do you think?

Aw, I’m sorry.
