I read Ozzy’s reason for suing Tony Iommi for the rights to the name "Black Sabbath." His claim is that the name, music, the logo and the images belong to all four members and that all 4 should get equal rights to the profits made on them. He also went on to state that before rejoining Black Sabbath in the 1990s, Black Sabbath was reduced to playing clubs and that he was instrumental in the band’s resurgence with performances at OZZFEST and such.
But yet, the same Ozzy had Diary Of A Madman and Blizzard Of Ozz remastered replacing original musicians Bob Daisley and Lee Kerslake with Robert Trujillo and Mike Bordin so as he would not have to pay Bob or Mike any more royalties that are made from either of those 2 albums.
**edit** Perhaps I should have said that no one in the ‘reporting’ business is privy to everything that goes on between the concerned parties.
