Well on the day after Christmas my mom got me a new dog (A Kuvasz) 2 years old from a person who was giving her up (cause she was scared of little kids and they had 2) and since i am 15 my mom thought it would be okay (WRONG) for about 5 weeks i have been trying to win her trust with treats talking nice to her giving her toys walking her and it does not seem to be working and she is so afraid of brushes she is starting to get all matted and she even runs away when i even brush my own hair or even when she looks at a brush or even if you say the word and her owners said she had never been hit or anything WHAT IS WRONG WITH MY DOG!!!!

Well, it can be a possibility that the dog was "tortured" by the children, which they found to be fun. The brush problem was problem because the kids would constantly brush the dog to make her look "prettier" which was most likely painful, assuming this was done by inexperienced child. You can start to win her trust by taking her places like dog parks where she can interact with other dogs and "come out of her shell". Then you can give her treats after and start teaching her tricks. Find a toy that she loves, and play with her. Take her on long, exciting walks on her favorite routes and try find her some company (ex. a friend that can come over with her dog). This is bonding with your dog. Hope this helps. Good Luck

It sound like she was beat.
We had a dog that was beat once. the owners beat her in the bathroom, and she would never go in ours. after a while i won her trust and soon she was following me to the bathroom. She used to love getting baths. after she realized I wasn’t going to lock her in the bathroom. And if anyone else came in the room she would freak out.

I think it might help you to use some ‘dog language’ with your dog. There are key traits to dogs that show dominance. Your dog probably feels inferior to you. It feel like you are the top dog and it is scared of you. While it is a good thing for you to be the leader, you might want to make you dog the leader, at least till is gains confidence.

This seems strange, but this is how dogs do it, and it might help you. be careful though.

When dogs are showing dominance the lead dogs head is always above the others. Try getting on your hands and knees and placing your head lower than hers.

Dogs will also gently bit, or lick the underside of the lead dogs chin to show affection. You might not want to try this one, but if you get that far, you would only have to rub your face on her chin, or even just rub your hand there.

When dogs are challenged they will bite the top of the lead dogs snout, growl, and keep their head higher than the lead dogs. Try not to do this.

When dogs want to play they stretch out their front legs and stick their but up in the air. You could do this one easily, and your dog might understand you better.

This might help your dog to feel more comfortable, but you should be carful. they can be unpredictable and I would hate for you to get bit. If your dog shows any sign of aggression back down immediately.

Keep up the treats, and show her some kindness. like the crust off your sandwich. (Even though it causes them to beg) She will warm up to you eventually.

Be sure not to raise your hands at her, move quickly around her, or carry a hair brush. You might want to take her to a groomer to get shaved. Only temporarily. just to keep the mats down until she is manageable.

Something has happened to her. Dogs don’t act like that unless they’ve been previously mistreated. Somebody did something to that poor girl to make her feel fear. All you can do now is be patient and offer your love. It can take a very long time… 5 weeks isn’t really very long yet. She needs you though.
Do a lot of sitting on the floor with her and treats, petting her gently in long strokes and talking in hushed tones. If you find that you can’t easily brush her, take her to a groomer for a short hair cut until you can. Eventually she will let you. When she does, always let her sniff the brush first. Then move very slowly.
The key is to move slow, talk slow, and just be patient. this has to be a constant thing. Any lapse in patient sets you back farther. You cannot let her see your frustration, because she just senses the tension and it worries her more. She’ll come around, but only on her time.

Also, you should NEVER allow your dog to be the leader. That only makes them more anxious, because they feel like they can’t trust or depend on you. They will also learn to adopt bad habits and become disobediant. Earning her trust with you as the leader is the only way to let her be comfortable.

Social facilitation=refers to the effect that one dog has on the behavior of another dog,for example if you are giving one dog a treat the other dog will come up and also take a treat from you.
A phenomenon that combines the effect of both of the above,as a result of of the shy dog watching the behavior of other dog and people,the dog will be attracted to join in and try it.
Modelling is another example of social learning,modelling involves presenting a dog with an example to follow or imitate.
For example,modelling can be used to to encourage an insecure dog to exhibit outgoing social behavior.Here’s one way to do this,have the insecure dog observe a more confident interacting with you and receiving affection and treats.The observing dog will be encouraged to do the same thing
join in with playing-receiving attention and treats,this is especially useful with dogs that are comfortable with other dogs but fearful of people.
So if you have a friend or another family member that has a friendly dog,ask them if they can help out and bring the dog over and begin to apply the above methods,if not have a talk to a good trainer and you maybe able to sit in on a training session with your dog,but make sure you tell the trainer the problems your dog has so the session is suitable for your dog.
Gain the dogs trust in you first is very important,work on the brush issue later.

Try taking an old brush and leaving it on the floor somewhere, maybe she will go up to it on her own and investigate to see what it is. If she does, then leave it there and maybe after a couple of days of her getting use to it, then maybe sit on the floor and have it in front of you. Slowly work your way into being able to hold it in your hand, then try to brush her very gently. Good Luck

Its hard to find a decent stuffed Chinese Crested, mostly you find the "fluffy" characters from the 102 dalmatians movie, and I want a realistic stuffed animal… so I thought maybe I could get one of these and groom it to a Crested.. but wondering if its possible to get one somewhere cheaper?
its suppossed to be like a practice dummy for someone learning how to groom dogs.. there’s no "replacement" hair for it.. once its cut, its cut.. it can be washed, cut and even dyed to look like pretty much any breed tho.

I went to visit family in Arepetra a few years back, and my uncle and I had an awesome trip round the village on crossbikes!

We went to the church he got married in which is built into the side of a mountain, and just over the mountain was this massive overgrown valley.

We mediatated there and it was awesome! Sounds UBER gay, especially with an uncle in the story! But no we meditated and trekked around for a bit, had a spliff or 2 and it was a right laugh!!

why do you need these? there’s way to many, i doubt to many people are going to answer.
if you’ve seen the movies, they’ll be pretty easy to figure out…

Wow. That list is REALLY long. Like the first answerer said, why do you need these?
In Finding Nemo, Marlin (Nemo’s dad) goes through a lot of anxiety while looking for his son.
Alice from Alice in Wonderland (I really wanted to check if you had that one; I love that movie) seems to have a little anxiety, since she’s having trouble following the skewed logic of Wonderland citizens.
As for other characters from movies near the top of the list, they seem to feel a little depressed and incomplete, like Mulan (felt that she was a disgrace to her family), Tigger (in The Tigger Movie, he didn’t have a family and felt really sad), Beast (in Beauty and the Beast, he’s scared that nobody will like him because he’s pretty darn ugly), etc. You can just watch some of these movies again (it’s fun, trust me) or at least think about the ones you remember fairly well.
