Why did Nostradamus lied and convinced his people that the Christians' end is upon the Iraqis?
Why did he lied and pushed the Americans to a great extent , in which they slaughtered millions of innocents for a big fat lie ? Americans did not come just for robbing the country’s riches , or else they would have killed a few thousands and left the place . But their malevolence is making them believe Nostradamus and finishing the modern Babylonians before they finish the anglo empire .
Why did he lie ??? Many time over ???

I don’t know where you even got this idea! Nostradamus did predict a variety of things, but they were all in code, so nobody knows whether he was/is more right than the oracle at Delphi, the Mayans, Mother Shipton, Merlin, the Bible, or anyone else who claims to see the future. All I know as an American, is that the LAST thing Americans want is any kind of religious war, but if the "modern Babylonians" keep picking away at us, like gnats at an elephant, they will get slapped down in due time, and Nostradamus will have been right.
Aunt Joanie | Jan 04, 2010

Nostradamus is not that influential, at least to the US.

First of all, his prophecies are intentionally vague – If he made them precise, people would be able to they were precise, people would be able to circumvent them; rendering them false. Second, it is written in medieval French; best understood only by those living within a few hundred miles of him. Third, the technology limits the accuracy of the text – In the movable text, letters often slipped out of place; and printers had to guess what the missing letter/wrong letter was. A wrong letter in poetry can change the entire meaning of a sentence/paragraph; for example, such analysis can tell you whether the Nazis were supposed to beat the Russians in wwii, or vice-versa.

Consequently, Nostradamus is only seriously believed by a few people with strong attachment to the so-called ‘dark arts’; a large portion of whom have some sort of mental illness–eg., maybe, Hitler.
Therefore, to claim he ‘commanded’ the Americans in any meaningful way would be seriously wrong.

Republican win in Mass, a godsend to reducing unemployment/economy?

"Senate loss will bolster Obama’s resolve on jobs, The loss of a key Democratic Senate seat will likely strengthen the resolve of President Barack Obama to press ahead urgently with a package of targeted proposals to spur U.S. job creation."

You’d think curing unemployment/economy would be the first thing Obama should of taken on, not only is it a higher priority, but it would be immensely useful for increasing his own popularity (assuming it was successful) and would be able to use that popularity to pass other items later on down the line. The fact that this adim waited till they lost some power to get back to the real issues (I’m assuming that’s what is going to happen) is telegraphing a very destructive message to voters, that the only way to reign them in is to vote them out, and we have seen in recent admins where this trend leads to.

Now that the focus in on the economy and on jobs, and we can assume there will be higher yields of co-operation, at the fighting will be over a goal we both want acomplish "a better economy". Anyways, I wish Obama luck in regards to restoring the economy, even though I know we are going to disagree on the means.

Alright, what are your thoughts on the election and how it effects/effected Obama? Do you think the prediction on the focus is incorrect? What are your thoughts on the articles?

And thank you for your time
@chewy

Obama is a Keynesian, which means whether you like it or not, he believes government should get invovled, he hasn’t done much besides the stim, which means economy/unemployment is not a top priority.

i think that the loss will cause him to show a little more humility and rethink some of his proposals but i dont know how it will turn out. if he does decide to turn his focus back to unemployment in america, it will take a lot of campaigning and detailed descriptions of everything he attempts to push through to help.

since his stimulus packages monumental failure to produce any substantial numbers of job recovery i dont know how much trust he will be able to bolster up from the american people and other members of the senate to take another run at it. And you can say that his stimulus package takes time and make as many excuses as you want but it has already been proven that the white house officials are usin any numbers they can to make the stimulus package look like it is saving jobs. (link at bottom is one of many i can give for inflated numbers of jobs saved) and now they are even changing the way that jobs are counted as being "saved" so that any job that money touches even if it is a 1 dollar raise for a job that wasnt in trouble counts as that job being saved.

so i really dont know how much this helped or how obama will react but hopefully if he does decide to return to the problem of unemployment he will take his time and turn to things that might actually help save jobs on the scale that they suggest instead of ramming an inflated bill through as soon as they possible can.

Obama’s plan was to guarantee banks’ credit lines with the stimulus bill to keep their credit lines open so that American small businesses can keep their doors open. The capitalist philosophy is to allow the free market to fix itself. Doing anything more proactive to stimulate job growth has earned the Obama administration accusations of socialist behavior.

So which is it, wait for capitalism to work or beome more socialist to force job growth?

Facebook account question, anyone help?
Hi, I recently had a facebook account, and when i logged in on a different computer e.g it would not log me on and say that its an incorrect password/username. I then tried to reset my password and it said that my email address did not exist on the facebook database. I knew this was not true as i had accessed my account before on my personal computer.

I then tried to go onto facebook on my pc at home, due to the automatic fill in, i logged on immediately. Unfortunately my friend wanted to use my computer for facebook so she logged me out and logged into hers. After she finished i then tried to log into mines but now i can’t. It has been like this for about 2 days now and i’m getting really frustrated about not being able to access facebook.

I tried to reset my password but again the incorrect password/ username message came up. I then contacted facebook via email concerning my login details but they said that my email address is not on the system. I was shocked because i know that it is, and i have not changed my password or email address since having facebook. I now think that someone might have hacked into my facebook account

I called my friend today and he said that he added me as a friend on facebook, i waited for the add to accept him but it never came up in my msn inbox, I now feel that definitely someone has gone into my account and changed it. Can anyone help me to gain back control of my facebook account or just to help me resolve it?

I have gotten inspiration from old Brother Grimm Tales including Riding Hood.
Lewis Carol along with Alice in Wonderland
And of course music and everyday life for me.

What has inspired you :)

This may sound odd, but laying in bed gives me inspiration. I listen to music to try to fall asleep, and I’m always thinking, "How would this turn into a story." It’s usually the nights that I really have to get sleep (like I have a big test the next day, or something) when inspiration strikes, and I really HAVE to write. I always succumb to this urge, resulting in many sleepless nights.

Have Obama and Schumer said Bah Humbug to Americans with passage of the health care bill?
Seems like Ghosts of Socialists past has come back to haunt us forever.

Yeah…it speaks volumes when you jam something like this down the throats of Americans when the majority of Americans never wanted this bill.

This bill was never intended to help the American people but to give government more control over our lives both personally and businesses.

This society already provides medical care to all. And this bill is not about giving medical care to all. Its about government making itself more powerful, taking away our freedom and stealing our money. Its about power over us. you are quite the naive one if you think that those behind this bill have good intentions, that this will provide "medical care for all". Whats really confounding is how you could be so naive in thinking that those crooks, those tyrants in congress has your best interests at heart when what theyre really trying to do is enslave you.
bmovies60 | Dec 25, 2009

I don’t understand the problem that people have with the idea of a society that provides basic medical care to all. We have a hugely rich and advanced culture, presumably ethically christian (not that this is needed), so WHY giving basic medical care to all is such a horrible idea really confounds me.

Why is it so wrong to want to be sure we all have medical care? It is as basic as food and housing and we as a society feel the need to provide at least the basics of that, even.

Is it that you have yours and screw everyone else?
Or is it that you somehow think the needy are lesser than you in some way and thus do not DESERVE what you have?

Or is it that you just hate the idea of the government doing it? The government wouldn’t need to do it if basic needs were provided from charitable behavior, which is the presumptive alternative.

Do you actually hate the others, the needy, so much that you prefer to see them suffer rather than accept a political idea you find distasteful?

I honestly do not understand. All I get from the arguments against a common medical system is selfishness, greed, and hatred. I do not see any caring for others.

perhaps you do not care. But many, I would say most, of us DO care. If you can offer up an alternative way to provide for all that will work, do it. The system now does not provide anything close to a reasonable care for the people of our country.

I am not particularly enamored of the bill that is going to come out of the congress, but at least someone is trying to make us a civilized people. We aren’t all scrooges, after all.

Christians who is the Ancient of Days in Daniel?
Daniel 7:13 (NIV)

13 "In my vision at night I looked, and there before me was one like a son of man, coming with the clouds of heaven. He approached the Ancient of Days and was led into his presence.

vs 22:

22 until the Ancient of Days came and pronounced judgment in favor of the saints of the Most High, and the time came when they possessed the kingdom.

If your response is the Father, where in the Bible does it specifically say it’s the Father?
Since in vs 22 "the Ancient of Days" is mentioned along with "the Most High" are they one in the same person or are they 2 separate entities? What Scriptures do you have to back up your answers?
***MIKE***

thanks for your answer. Could the "son of man" have been brought into the presence of the Holy Spirit? I mean, if the HS is eternal, he can be the Ancient of Days too, right?
***Earthly Hope***
Are you sure? Who is the son of man? The son of man has access to the Ancient of Days! =)
***peacelily***

There is no doubt that the Ancent of Days is the Father because the son of man, Jesus, has access to Him. Two separate distinct persons. The reason why I asked the question is because nowhere in Scripture it specifically says that the Ancient of Days is the Father but we know so because a close consideration of OTHER Scriptures help us come to that conclusion. People mock Jehovah’s Witnesses because we assign the person of Michael to Jesus. But we do so because a close examination of OTHER Scriptures in the Bible help us draw that conclusion. But thanks anyway for participating with your answer! =)

"Christians who is the Ancient of Days in Daniel?"

The "Ancient of Days" is Almighty Jehovah God.

"After introducing the four beasts, Daniel shifts his eyes from the fourth beast to a scene in heaven. He beholds the Ancient of Days sit down on his resplendent throne as Judge. The Ancient of Days IS NONE OTHER THAN JEHOVAH GOD. (Psalm 90:2) As the heavenly Court takes its seat, Daniel sees

What did the winged bats (or flying monkeys), Emerald City and the cowardly lion represent in the Wizard of Oz?
It was based on the Populist movement?
So the wicked witch of the east represented banks and the wicked witch of the west represented corporations. the munchkins represented factory and other workers.

Dorothy represented anybody who was being victimized. The scarecrow represented farmers who were seen as being ignorant and poorly educated.
The tin man was a worker who worked so hard that he rusted.
The wizard represented the government and the presidents who really did nothing except tell you what you want to hear.
And the silver slippers represented the solution to the problem, making silver part of the currency.

But what were the winged bats (or flying monkeys, Emerald City, and the cowardly lion?

Seriously?? Who told you this? That is ridiculous. How does this type of analysis continue down the line of 10 or so sequels? Was the teacup town of china figurines representing how timid and fragile milkmaids are? The cowardly lion represented a cowardly lion. It’s a children’s fantasy story.
