What a cinderella story! A bunch of nobodys come out of nowhere and win the World Series. Who could have seen this coming at the start of the season?!?. It really warms the heart to know that such a bunch of of lovable nobodys can win it all. Gives the Pirates fan something to look forward too! It is so refreshing to see a new team in the WS for a change. What are the odds they can repeat next year?
Jimmy J – Look up "sarcasm" in the dictionary.
Ah, I love the smell of sour grapes in the morning.
What hump? | Nov 05, 2009
first off, get your facts right, the yankees had players damon, hinske, etc. win it for there second time
and had players like jeter, pettite, posada, and mariano win it for their 4th time.
And you have the nerve to call them a bunch of nobodys?? Kind of sad.
anyways, pirates are so bad it makes me laugh, and the pirates won’t have anything to look forward to for a very long time considering there organization makes good moves…..
and the odds are high that that the yankees could repeat next year.

No. I’ve got to be honest here. These guys make sooooo much money that even if they lost, they would be living pretty well, better then nearly all of us. Winning a title is just that, a title. When I see my son come home from being an EMT/Firefighter, exhausted, after pulling people out of smashed up car wrecks, breathing life back into babies lungs from a house fire, and they barely make $14.00 an hour, sorry, I can’t get hyped up over any professional sport or athlete. Our countries priorities are so screwed up. He doesn’t know I’m writing this, he loves the Yanks, so do I, and he’s all excited over their win, but, these days, it’s hard to get all excited over things like this when we’re all struggling. Congratulations to the Yankees, though., and the Phillies. Odds they repeat next year, please……..$ buys $

Yes I’m excited and next year can wait until next year. It’s time to enjoy this year.

I didn’t see any Yankees locker room celebration, did they show that on TV? Shoot, I wanted to see their champagne celebration. Is there any video of that?
Yankees won! Yeah! Hip hip Jorge!
I saw the interviews on the baseball field but didn’t see anything going on in the locker room. darn I missed it.
no they didnt
beyb1976 | Nov 05, 2003
hahahaha…hip hip jorge, that’s funny
naw, they didn’t show it on fox, but I’m pretty sure they have it on the yankees’ own channel if you have it….
RT | Nov 05, 2009
I saw a little, but not much. It was like 5 seconds, and they talked over it. They had goggles on and were pouring champagne into each others’ mouths. I know I saw it because it made me think about what happens if there are players who aren’t 21 (lol yes, silly, I know, but it means I know I saw some of the celebration). It may have been on Fox 5 news after the game, though.
