It's a familiar ambition among wine buffs to own a small vinery and devote their lives to producing wine. Images of sunny days spent caring for the vines and then retreating to a garden patio in the evenings to taste the resulting wine are certainly romantic, but unlikely to be realised.

Wine connoisseurs can now live the daydream at least a little bit, by adopting a grapevine at one of the country's best known vineries. After you've adopted the vine plant, you'll get a certificate telling you exactly which grape vine you've taken on, plus a lot of info on the history of the vineyard and the bottles it creates.

You'll also be granted a free tour of the vinery, along with a discount on anything you buy during your tour.

For most of us, owning a vineyard and winery will remain a dream, but this fantastic idea of adopting a vine will make a great present for anyone with an interest in how their wine is made.

As the winter nights get chillier, gloomier and lengthier, most people would welcome a little comfort. A soft teddy bear is a firm favourite for cuddling up with on a winters evening, so why not take things to a new level by opting for a microwaveable teddy that will also keep you warm and toasty?

Simply pop the warming bear into the microwave for a a moment (he won't mind!), and he'll emerge warm and toasty and perfect for nuzzling up to. Be careful: follow the maker's instructions carefully, for leaving too long in the microwave may cause damage to the teddy or even your microwave oven.

Whether you utilise it as a hot water bottle alternative for warming a cold bed, or even just for spending those dark evenings tucked up on the couch watching TV, a microwaveable teddy bear is certain to bring a bit of light and warmth into the darker times of wintertime.

Warming microwave teddies come in all shapes and sizes, some based on well known bear characters, and others innovative but still well worth hugging. Whichever you choose, it'll be perfect for any of your loved ones who savors cozy comforts!
