Do U Know Of These Comic Book Heroines & Amazons?
Hello Folks:

I am an avid book reader. My favorite genres of comics, manga and novels are science fiction (especially stuff dealing with robots and aliens), fantasy and horror. Secondarily, I like superhero action, historical (Yes, there are some comics that deal with history.), Westerns and even romance. Lately, I have been getting into comic issues that feature strong warrior women fighting aliens, monsters and animals.

To start off, I have seen plenty of stuff featuring She-Hulk, Supergirl and Wonder Woman fighting all types of non-Human creatures. Is there anything featuring the SHE-THING (the Thing’s counterpart) fighting off any creatures, too? Also, I have seen some stuff featuring Cavewoman (from http://www.basementcomics.com ), Kageena (She’s an old school jungle queen. Does anyone have any stuff featuring her?), Tarzana (I’m looking for stuff about her as well.), Lorna the Jungle Queen, Jungle Girl (from http://aroscoe.net/rpn/?p=1132 or http://www.dynamiteentertainment.com ) and Jana of the Jungle (She was an animated jungle warriorette from the 1980s, created from then Hanna-Barbera. Does anyone know if she ever fought any animals in any way?) I also like medieval female warriors such as Sojourn (from http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sojourn ), Queen/Red Sonja (from http://www.dynamiteentertainment.com ) and Avengelyne (from http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Avengelyne ).

Also, just recently, I just bought a giant-size comic issue of GRIMM FAIRY TALES (from http://www.zenescope.com ) which feautured a red-haired chick with a sword (not Red Sonja or that other lady on the HEAVENLY SWORD video game) fighting a dragon as well as an assortment of two-legged monsters. She was going at them harder and faster than the men around her were, too (no pun intended). I never thought that the people behind these fairy tales would also put out something featuring an amazon warriorette fighting some monsters. Sometimes you can never be too sure of things, can you?

If anyone has any more stuff dealing with matches between these or other heroines/amazons and non-Human creatures such as aliens, monsters and/or animals, then please feel free to drop me a line. Thank you very much for your help.

How about Atalanta, a heroine from Greek myth. There is a book on Amazon featuring four stories, two of Hercules and two featuring Atalanta, with a short Atalanta comic in the middle of the book. The title is "Heroes of Ancient Greece", and is by three authors, and an artist. The stories feature robots, monsters, and aliens, with lots of action. And a nice cover.

Is there ANY hope /change we will get back together?
I made the biggest mistake of my life twice!

I had a boyfriend for a year. He had wanted to move to NY from SC but I told him if he went I’d have to break up with him (I can’t do long distance) He hated it here @ school but he stayed for me. I ended up dumping him. He was devastated - we didn’t talk for awhile.

He moved to NY after we broke up & is going to school there - I told him I wanted him back in October he flew home to SC to see me & well, there was someone else that I was interested in so I dumped him. I ended up asking the other guy out that night he left (I know - Bad choice!!) He found out & also found out I was talking crap about him to this other guy. Me & the other guy did NOT last long at all!

Now, I realize I want him back more then ANYTHING in this world
he wants me to move to NY to be with him and "prove" this isn’t a game
I think he is asking way to much of me…I can’t just PICK UP and go to school in NY
He said he doesn’t want to do a distance or get hurt from me again

is there ANY chance we can be together again?
or have I completely ruined my chances
I love him I need him I made the biggest mistake of my life!!

Is this food poisoning or a stomach virus or what?
This morning I was in my neighbor Kyle’s apartment when I found a can of spray whip cream he apparently was hiding under his bed so I took the whipped cream home with me and had planned to return it before Kyle came home and caught me in his apartment again. But instead - here’s what happened. I go back to my apartment and cut a wedge of pumkin pie and decided to eat the whip cream sooner rather than later. So I sprayed some but it didn’t spray it just dripped out all liquidy so I decided to call it "drip cream" and as it dripped I caught a whiff and it was like curdled milk and catfish bait - and I noticed that the expiration date had actually passed last march but I figured if Kyle was eating it in bed last night it was safe. So I made a smiley face on the pie in drip cream and I sat down to eat and watch ‘Murder, She Wrote’. I drew my fork closer to my mouth, slowly…deliberately. And at the very precise instant when the first molecules of whip cream touched my tongue, I violently crapped my pants and I flipped backwards over the back of the chair and smashed my neck into the wall.. The wet, horrible explosion was so intense that the blast wave shattered my jaw and tore off my left pant leg. The last few gallons of the drippy brown gut-gravy rushed down my thighs and into the carpet and apparently down into the peoples’ apartment below mine because a few seconds later I heard nine gunshots in rapid succession then I remembered they were a family of nine down there - so it made sense. The police detective told me their suicide note included phrase "Midget Diarrhea" over 30 times - a new record - so I am reasonably sure Kyle will be arrested for 9 counts of 1st degree murder when he gets home from work. Serves him right.

Do some people actually believe the world is going to end in 2012?
I was just wondering if people actually believe that crap or they just joke about it. The world will end one day, but most likely not in mine or in the near future. If the world was going to end, it would happen most likely from an all out nuclear war and by the time a commit or asteroid were to hit us, we would be equipped to deal with it. Its impossible to predict when the world is going to end, so why do people actually make predictions like that, is not like their making money from making people scared. Its all based on the Myan Calendar and If I am correct it says nothing about the world ending, the calender just stops, they probably died before they could add to the calender. You can do a goggle search and find all their predictions, their has to be at least 20 with set dates. Here is a site that list over 200 predictions and guess what every time they are wrong. Some people that believe in Christ and the bible also believe the world is going to end in 2012 or their will be a rapture before that date and god will leave the rest behind, which ties into the new world order and end of times in revelations. I don’t know much about the bible, so correct me if I’m wrong, it doesn’t say when the world will end or the battle of Armageddon will take place. It says that when Jesus comes, we won’t even know its happening, so how do you say it will happen 2012. Their is also no word rapture in the bible and to prove my point, god said we as sinners must die with no exceptions, if their was a rapture, then you wouldn’t have died the first death. Any thoughts or comments please.

Here’s a little hiccup I don’t think anyone has thought of:
The whole 2012 thing is based on the Mayan calendar. The calendar had to be interpreted because nobody spoke the language any more.
"In 1992, the University of Guatemala identified the July 26 date based on an eclipse of July 11, 1991 and the Dresden Codex. Arguelles interpreted that date as the new beginning of the solar year." One guy came up with what he felt was the new beginning of the solar year based on an eclipse he related to a prophesy.
