like peter jackson’s king kong or call of chtulhu (something where you shoot things but you have ‘puzzles’ too) not just simple shooting like doom 3 (maybe to advance to the next place you need a gem, to get the gem you must position a pedestal or something like this…

the suffering is a good adventure horror game its for ps2.
mitch | Feb 02, 2010

Now considering that you didn’t give us the name of the game console, it’s hard to decide. But If you have a PSP, you should go for Dead Head Fred, Dead Head Fred tells the story of a private detective waking up-with his head gone replaced with a jar with his brain and eyeballs stuck in it. Now after finding out that his head had been decapitated by a local mob boss, he seeks revenge.

It’s not a shooter, but it has some pretty good graphics, the violence in there isn’t childish, it’s easy to play, and it involves a lot of puzzles, if thats what you like. Oh and BTW, it also won the Writer’s Guild of America’s first video game award, has a rating of 7.5/10 on IGN. Go figure

Resident evil is also a pretty good game if you want a horror shooter, or go for Wolfenstein

Ice Princess
Ice Princess (2005)

IMDB rating: 6.00

Plot: A high-school bookworm transforms into a swan in Walt Disney Pictures’ “ICE PRINCESS.” Brainy Casey Carlyle (‘Michelle Trachtenberg’ (qv)) has never quite fit in. Caught between her fantasy of becoming a championship figure skater and her strong-willed mother (‘Joan Cusack’ (qv)), who has her on the fast track to Harvard, she can only hope to be like Nikki, Tiffany and Gen (‘Hayden Panettiere’ (qv))—three elite skating prodigies who are ruthlessly competing on the US National circuit (and have attitudes to match). But when Casey gets the chance to train with Gen and her coach, a disgraced former skating champion who also happens to be Gen’s mother (‘Kim Cattrall’ (qv)), she must dash her own mother’s hopes in order to pursue her dream. Now, with only the support of Gen’s teenage brother, a hunky Zamboni driver (‘Trevor Blumas’ (qv)), Casey takes on the challenge of her life when she finds herself competing against the best to make it into the championship circuit and become a real “ice princess.”

I had a dream i've been trying to solve for a while and I want to know what it means?
I had a dream that I was dressed as a princess and a man that was dressed as a prince, he was tall and dark and handsome, came up to me and took my hand and brought me to a place where there were glaciers everywhere and it was beautiful… and we were in between the glaciers and there was a huge lake and it was all ice… and he took me on the ice and we danced and skated around and then we got to a certain area and he stopped and stared at the sky and it was a beautiful blue and white and purple.. and then he looked down at the ice and pointed to it.. and when i looked this huge whale burst out of the ice and landed right next to us… and then he looked at me and he smiled. and that’s when i woke up.

I have remembered this dream for a while and haven’t gotten a good answer for it and i would like to have one.. the weird thing about it is that I had it when I was about 7 or so but the man in my dream looks like the man that I’m with and that I’ve been with for the past three years but that dream was about 14 years ago. So if any one has any explanation please help me out.

First of all, to many young women, the perfect man may be dark, tall, and so in your subconscious mind, you project this type of person, on top of that, he is a prince and you are a princess. That is a symbolic way to say you are having the desire to have a perfect relationship with someone. That is quite normal to have dream like that.

What you said about weird thing is that you man you are with looked like the dream 14 years ago. Well, I do not think it is weird (unless he is a prince also). That image of yours lurked into your subconscious mind, so subconsciously when you find you mate, you probably would like someone like that rather than other looks. That comes from your subconscious mind for mate picking. You may not know in reality.

However, you may think it is weird when you thought back. However, there are not too may type of look in men. Either tall or short, handsome or ugly, light skin or dark skin. So, your man came back as you wished in the dream is quite normal and within the range. Of course, like I said, if he is indeed the prince in real world, then I will say you have some psychic ability.

What would you consider to be the most important factor that made US forces withdraw from vietnam in 1973?
choose out of these:

oppostion to the war
death rates
growth of antiwar feeling
inexperience of the troops
the tunnel system
cost of war
My Lai Massacre or
the chinese and soviet support

chose one and explain why

Personally without choosing one of them I would say ‘because they where getting their a-holes kicked’ ^_^.

But if I had too chose one from the list i’d choose the tunnel system.

Pretty hard to fight against geurilla warfare ^_^.

The fact that they were fighting a losing battle.
I fink | Jan 08, 2010

As an "outsider"…the British were against the war anyway (the people). There were many protests and rallies throughout the war, even I went to a big meeting where everything was debated. The outsiders view was that the USA basically "lost".I remember General Westmoreland saying he was basically going to bomb the VC into submission…he didn’t.Following Korea perhaps some of the self-confidence was gone.
Incidentally,I love Tom Paxton and "Talking Vietnam Pot Blues" !
Prof | Jan 08, 2010

Cost of the war combined with antiwar feeling, which had gone from college students and left wing types to everyday people, Senators, Congressmen and middle aged World War II era veterans, etc.
Rubym | Jan 08, 2010

We were not fighting a losing battle and if the RVNs had used standard tactics, we would have beaten them eons before 1975. Television did a lot by building up opposition to the war. The war could have been better fought had the government really allowed the generals to do the warring.

Death rates might have been a factor, but we lost 54000 troops killed and a zillion and one either physically or mentally wounded for life. A bit problem with body counts was Westmoreland’s publishing the number of VC and RVN that were killed every day. Had his numbers been anywhere near the truth, we would have killed everyone East of Washington, DC.

Inexperience of the troops is something that has to be dealt with in any war. If you study D Day 1944, the first troops sent ashore had no battle experience, they were just cannon fodder.

The tunner system was a hinderance, but we knew about it going in since we replaced the French in that war and they were defeated by general Giap when he dug underthem and attacked them from the rear.

My Lai was just one of those things. The Blackwater killings in Bagdhad were about as bad and that has not stopped the war in Iraq.

Chinese and Soviet support – that was to be expected. You have to remember that we were not in that war alone, we had allies in Australia and Korea, both of which sent a number of troops, and the Koreans were, perhaps, the most fierce fighters in the war.

I spent ten days in a hospital in Cam Ranh Bay in a bed next to a Korean ROK (Republic of Korea) soldier who had to have a kidney removed. All he did all day and night was to scream that he would now not be able to kill again since they were putting him out of the army.,
Polyhistor | Jan 08, 2010

public opinion, after state troupers shot dead four unarmed students at kent university ohio, in 1970 who were demonstrating against the US occupation of cambodia, this was on the direct instructions of the vice president, via the state governor who ordered "kill the hippy bastards", not exactly their finest hour, but they do try to cover it up nowadays, however the daughter of a professor, who witnessed these murders, still preserves a website with full details in their memory.
Mick W | Jan 08, 2010

I do not accept your options. the us won the war in vietnam . the us war objective was a capitalist vietnam, when the us withdrew the Vietnamese were free to choose their own system and now vietnam is a capitalist country. Perhaps the US should learn from their experience and leave Afghanistan for the people there to choose – its called democracy – a new idea perhaps, they should practise what they preach and instead of imposing regimes let the local people choose. the solution to Afghanistan lies in Israel. I am not a muslim, jew or Communist – just a democrat
Roger P | Jan 08, 2010

Opposition to the war – When Walter Cronkite said to the American people on the CBS news that there was no way to convince the American people we had a chance of winning in Vietnam the opposition to the war grew, and nothing could stop it. We had the military manpower and hardware to win the war, but the people didn’t want to see there loved ones sacrificed for no good reason. No one could convince the American people if we didn’t win the North Vietnamese would invade our country and take us over. In WWII that was the reason we fought a two ocean war, and with the help of our allies the Germans and Japanese were stopped in their quest for world domination.

Growth of anti war feeling in USA.

This was causing serious divisions and social unrest in American society, which Nixon wanted to end.The only way to do this quickly was to pull out, ending American involvement.

Anti-war feeling. The Tet Offensive in 1968 turned many supporters of the war agaisnt it, not just those who thought the war was wrong but those who supported it to ebgin with. Simply because the US seemed to spending money loosing lives and getting nothing out of it, much how many British feel about afganistan.

What the hell kind of a name is "Wet" for a video game?
All you watchers of WWE RAW know what I mean. During the commercials a few weeks ago, they were advertising an XBOX 360 video game called "Wet", some Amazon-like warrior woman with superhuman abilites like the woman from BloodRayne not only killing armed bad guys, but even those who plead for mercy.

Why was this offensive video game called "Wet"?
What? Is killing of all those bad guys like supposed to make her horny or something?
"bealzebu",

isn’t that illegal? Are you telling me YOU did that stuff? Why are you walking around like a free man? Shouldn’t you have gotten in trouble by now if that’s what you did?

I watch Raw and have seen the commercials, I don’t know if they was going for the horny thing or not, LOL, but that was what I was thinking too, LOL.

BTW way, I have never played the game so have no clue, I thought maybe they thought calling it Wet would be sexy or something.

do i forgive or tell the truth?
Backstory: I have a boyfriend who is an ‘elder statesman’ of a club that we belong in, meaning he is a former officer who still has influence.

I also have a male friend who i also in this club. We are relatively close. A key personality trait is that he is highly ambitious and quite the pragmatic.

Let’s make a long story short, shall we?

My boyfriend and this friend had gotten into an argument this week, which was settled two days ago. The conflict was that this friend revealed to a new girl that a story my boyfriend had told was false (he sort of likes to tell stories, false or not), in order to impress her. My boyfriend was not pleased in the least, and they almost got into a fistfight as a result. As I said, it was resolved.

I have been having discussions with this friend over the past week they never lasted over a hour and occurred twice at his insistence, topics ranging from religion to women’s rights. We enjoyed them as platonic friends do, but at this last conversation he insists that I tell my boyfriend about what we were doing… except exclude the notion that he agreed and even insisted upon having them.

It was only two lunches of talking. We never even came close to touching each other during either, and the subject matter rarely focused on our private lives. I also do similar with my boyfriend and he doe the same with his female friends, ergo this is not emotional cheating. He, in my opinion, is making a mountain out of a speck of dust.

What perhaps bothers me the most is that he is throwing me under the bus; my friend is telling me to take all the responsibility for our collective actions so that he remains in good standing with my boyfriend. Cowardly behavior, I say, but what do I know…

I am talking with my boyfriend at length for the first time in a while and I am telling him about the discussions (and asking him to get involved in them, because they were interesting). I have two options:

1. I can tell my boyfriend about all the grief my friend has been giving me to make sure his name is cleared from this matter of little significance. Hopefully my boyfriend cares about this and my friend’s standing may be lowered.

2. I can omit my friend’s name from it; this saves his face and tears me up inside. I’m sort of proving to him I can be manipulated and don’t mind being trampled on for him. His life is no longer hell and we can be friends again.

He is a valuable ally to have as a result of his ambition, and I am willing to forgive him (not forget… huge difference).

Which of these is better? to be honest or to just put up and shut up?

Also, should I tell my friend how much of an ass he’s being? I’ve been trying to for the past two days and he won’t have anything to do with this matter AT ALL. I’m thinking he’s just scared to offend my boyfriend again…

Help?

it seems to me…. that…. pringles

just tell the truth. if the friend gets hurt, he’ll get over it.. it’s not a huge deal.

but if you keep the secret, it seems like it would upset you and you’d regret it so it would just stew inside of you. not the best.

You should always tell the truth. It will eventually come out anyway. This friend doesn’t sound like much of a friend, sounds like he wants to be more.
Amy | Feb 07, 2010

I think you should be honest with your boyfriend about you’re friends ridiculous dramatics, and I think you should be honest with your friend about his ridiculous dramatics. You don’t need or deserve the unnecessary grief and stress, and putting all cards on the table will probably end in your favor, not to mention possibly prevent recurrences of the situation. Maybe if you get the opportunity you could even have a sit-down conversation about the problem with your boyfriend and friend together. This will certainly make your friend uncomfortable and even embarrassed to be in the hot seat, but in the long run will have great benefit. If your friend ends up throwing a fit as a result of your honesty and straight-forwardness then hopefully he will eventually put on his big-girl panties and get over it, and if not you will only be ridding yourself of future drama, unfortunately at the unnecessary loss of a friend.

What's Munich like? What places are not to miss?

Munich is very green, quaint with beautiful parks, there’s an outdoor food market in the city centre, a bit posh (lots of big industry companies), delish food, beer gardens, and the people speak English – they are used to tourists. Prob. my fave city in all of Deutschland.
M F | Feb 05, 2010

I would go see the concentration camp in Dachau.
Its just outside Munich.
Its really creepy.
Hairy Dog | Feb 05, 2010

It’s just the right size for a city – not so big that it has ghettos and yet not so small that it doesn’t have lots of things to do.
The winter is great – Munich is 500 metres above sea level and so tends to get more snow than the lowlands, and the summer is great because of the beer gardens and parks.
The River Isar is a glacial river which runs right through Munich.

You can get to Austria and Switzerland within a couple of hours, and when the weather is right you can see the Alps from the city.

Very friendly people, although a real Bavarian speaks quite a strong dialect so don’t expect to understand them very easly with basic German.

One of the nicest places I have ever lived.

As to what to see, I suggest you get a guide. There are great museums, nice buildings and parks, the Olympic Village from 1972, but mostly it’s the historical importance of the buildings that is fascinating. It was going to be Hitler’s capital of his Empire.

Reefer Madness: The Musical- Hot or not?
I loved that movie. It was a work of genious. Alan Cumming is great!

This was the perfect movie to come out at the perfect time for strong armed moralizing with little actual factual backing, though unfortunately a lot of the people who would learn the most from the film are the type that the subversive camp would be totally lost on. Alan Cummings is great, but I still prefer George Lucas.
George could not only dream of, but his amazing choreographs turned movies into legend. Nevertheless, Bravo Alan, you’ve done it again!

Atheists, does Christmas make you believe…just a little bit?
One night, a couple of thousand years ago, some humble shepherds stood in the dark in a land on the far side of the globe.

And something happened.

There was an angel, and bright light, and they were terrified.

And then there was peace, and a thundering exultation, and then a hurried shuffling, down into town, to find a newborn in a stable.

That’s what we think of at Christmas.

If we ever ponder its meaning we think of a nativity set, carved in our memory, of a man and a woman and a baby and some shepherds. Maybe a sheep and some camels and three men dressed like kings.

Christmas. The holiest day in Christendom.

Only it’s not.

Christmas is not the defining holiday of Christianity. The birth of Christ was a means to an end, but it was not the end.

It is not his birth which is most miraculous or of the greatest significance.

It is his death, and the events surrounding it.

The birth of Jesus was astounding in its uniqueness. Of the billions of babies to grace his creation and the billions of parents, his father was the only one not mortal. His father was God, a divine being, and from him he inherited certain characteristics, as any child would.

From his father, Jesus inherited immortality. From his mother, Jesus inherited mortality. From her, the obligation to die. From him, the power to rise again.

But it is not the nature of Jesus upon which the eternities rest. It is upon the mission of Jesus. What he did some 30 years after the shepherds and wise men had all gone their way.

The birth of Jesus, the event celebrated at Christmas, was important not for what it was, but for what it led to.

And that is sorrow.

The ultimate proof that the price of love is steep and painful. The life of Christ is not epitomized by the manger, but by the turmoil of Gethsemane and the agony of the cross, and the emptiness of the tomb.

The mission of Jesus was simple, to give us victory over physical and spiritual death, to open for us doors we could not open on our own. To blaze a path leading back to our father and his.

Had he not come, had he not done what he did, death would forever separate us from our bodies and sin would forever separate us from our God.

But he did come and he did do what he set out to do.

He died, and was resurrected. He broke the chains of death, for himself and for us. And as a result we will all be similarly resurrected.

Our spirits will leave our bodies at death, but at the appointed time we will reclaim them, perfected and immortal, never more to lay them down.

That is a free gift.

It is given to all.

The victory over spiritual death is also a free gift, but with a slight and significant distinction. It is not given to all, but it is available to all.

We have to take it up and make it effective in our lives.

How? By repenting of our sins and keeping the Lord

Disorganisation: The cause of this season's failures?
This season I’ve felt uncomfortable watching Liverpool. Not because we’re playing particularly badly – I even feel tense when we’ve been cruising. It’s because I know there’s a period of hectic, helterskelter football around the corner, which we almost always suffer from. I put this down to a lack of continuity. I feel if we could field a familiar core group of players each game it would install a degree of solidity in our game. But thanks to constant injuries to, most importantly, Johnson, Agger, Gerrard and Torres, plus Aquilani, Riera and Aurelio, it hasn’t been possible.

I don’t believe Skysports’ claims of Xabi Alonso’s importance, Rafa Benitez’s incompetence, zonal marking’s flaws, or the weakness of our squad. In fact, I reject these views completely and I think anybody who knows Liverpool’s situation well enough would do the same. I believe that if Benitez’s plans hadn’t been screwed around so much by unforeseen problems we would still be on the right tracks.

It derailed Arsene Wenger’s plans last season and I think we’ve hit the same sort of bad luck this season.

What about you? Do you follow popular belief or do you have your own idea?

The injuries have been pretty hard this season. I personally dont jump on the idiotic blame Rafa bandwagon. He is a much better manager than he gets credit for…

Once Liverpools players return from injury they will cruise to a top 4 place comfortably. If Rafa got some proper funding, he will be able to be right up there but sadly he does not have the backing as his rivals have…

I formulate my own opinions, the media tend to sensationalize and people on this website tend to take it as fact.

The person underneath me thinks Chelsea have spent less than Rafa…thats a laugh…Rafas net spend of the last transfer window was 10000…Chelsea buy 30 million flops…Rafa can only afford iffy players…get the facts straight and dont ignore what he managed last season…

Every team suffers with injuries. At one point this season, Man United could barely field a back four! I think even the most die hard Liverpool fan would have to admit that their squad is a little thin on quality. I mean N’Gog is your second choice striker! I think the blame lies solely at Benitez. He has spent more than everybody bar City and Chelsea (both gross and net), but has signed mainly dross, rather than saving his money for top quality acquisitions. The man replaced Alonso with an injury prone attacking midfielder who averaged less than TWENTY games a season for Roma, I mean come on!? It isn’t bad luck, or disorganisation, it is a lack of quality, and the quicker Liverpool fans can realise this and put some pressure on the owners to get rid of your inept manager, the better off you will be. Torres and Gerrard can’t save you every week.

i feel the same way about Arsenal,i m always worried until we have a two goal cushion,

your problem is a bit more complicated, alonso leaving and aquilani missing also has something to do with it, not just quality he brought a calming influence on others and especially gerrard, he looks so off this season.

other than that it just luck at times, people scoring great goals against you, and some tactical mistakes from rafa, not to mention a little lack of quality in depth.

still i have to say, if it hadn’t been for reina, Liverpool would have been in real bad state,
in short if i have to put your problem, it would be self-doubt or lack of confidence among players and fans, this is probably the reason you always feel tense.
