Billy Jack
|
IMDB rating: 5.70 Plot: Billy Jack is a half-Indian/half-white ex-Green Beret who is being drawn more and more toward his Indian side. He hates violence, but can’t get away from it in the white man’s world. Pitting the good guys, the students of the peace-loving free-arts school in the desert vs. the conservative bad guys in the near-by town, the movie plays definitive late-60s themes/messages: anti-establishment, make love not war, the senseless slaughter of God’s creatures, the rape of society (figuratively and literally), two-sided justice, racial segregation and prejudices, and basic socialist ideals. |

Shotgun Willie (back to normal) | Feb 01, 2010
take out numbers 70 and 80 and you have yourself an awesome list
SarahS | Feb 01, 2010
Good list, but you need to have Marilyn Manson in there.
You guys would rather have Billy Joel, Blink 182 ect then Manson? Seriously you don’t know music.
Kevin C1001 | Feb 01, 2010
Pretty good list, i like the diversity, but I have to say, Michael Jackson doesn’t belong on any rock list, no matter who is playing guitar.
Duffy | Feb 01, 2010
Very classic, with the exception of Blink 182 and Green Day. Good compilation.
Tek | Feb 01, 2010
And where are The Killers!?!?!? Blink 182, but not The Killers. I guess if this is just your opinion, fine but if you’re talking greatest rock songs ever, Mr Brightside and When You Were Young should be in there
Like A Cigarette In The Mouth | Feb 01, 2010
Well, if you’ve got enough time to make this list, you get a star.
But it’s all the same stuff. Nothing new or fantastic.
"G" (25-21) | Feb 01, 2010
no no no! you die in my country for that! best rocking and the rolling is by Jhad Mehcollah and Ghansdi Foprellai… Motley Crue can suck my hairy crab infested balls of the pubical area!///
Omar | Feb 01, 2010
TBH it seems pretty standard…theres nothing thats a surprise on there.
Mr. Orange | Feb 01, 2010
Just need to point out a personal pet peeve of mine. Number 88 which you have listed as "Woohoo" – Blur is actually called "Song 2."
As for the list, it’s okay. Some of the bands you mentioned have much better songs to their name than the ones you listed and your top 5 are all horribly overrated and overplayed, but this whole list-making business is all very subjective so it’s fine.
retroelectric | Feb 01, 2010
Waaaay too much classic rock. I would suggest expanding your tastes.
Thomas | Feb 01, 2010
…"Hey Jude" or "Let It Be"?
You’ve got some damn good songs on there, but I don’t think they should all be in that order. And you’re missing quite a few bands. But those are your top 100, not mine.
Epic list, though.
